Hello Friends,
I continue to minister and have seen twenty two people confess Christ in our last three concerts. I'm still traveling by myself, but will be doing some special events with the Red River Band. I finally was able to get to the recording studio the last week in June and recorded with Beairds Music Group out of Nashville. We laid down all the instruments and we used all grade A musicians. These players play on all the big boys records like Garth Brooks and Reba McIntire, Faith Hill, and the list goes on and on. To my delight most of these players had accepted Christ in their lives at one point or another, but were in backslidden conditions. My bass player, Bill Rogers, came with me, and we prayed the music would touch their lives and it did. While I sang, Bill would talk with different ones, each one had comments except for the ones who were not saved, but we testified and planted the seeds. Let me say the music is very intense and if you don't like new sounding country you might want to change your order. Folks my vision is to make music that is comparable to the world's main stream heroes. I'm trying to put out CD's that the lost will listen to because they like the music. Think about it, how many songs do you know all the words to. Not too many, but you've listened to it a thousand times. Why? Because the music captivated you first. Friends, it's the sick that need the medicine, and a lot of folks have seen their lot loved ones come to Christ because they received and listened to my CD's or tapes. I returned to Nashville the first week of August and recorded my vocals at Strong House Music which they are no strangers to Christian Country. The Clark brothers have been putting out good quality music for years and really worked me vocally. These boys know harmony and are perfectionists. That's why I used them and I am well pleased with the results.
This new record has cost a bit more than what we originally budgeted for. I will still need to raise about three thousand dollars to have the CD's duplicated with the pictures, jewel cases, shrink wrap and shipping. So we will have to wait on the Lord's provision.
